BIO:
Fr. Stephen Morris has degrees in medieval history and theology from Yale University and St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Academy, as well as a MS in Special Education from CUNY (Hunter). He served as the Eastern Orthodox chaplain at Columbia University and started a new mission parish on the UWS before being received as a priest in the Episcopal Church. He has served Episcopal parishes in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He also taught special education for 27+ years in District 75 for the NYC Department of Education.
He has written an introduction to early Christianity as well as other academic writing that has dealt primarily with Late Antiquity and Byzantine church life. 
Fr. Morris, a Seattle native, is now a long-time New York resident and currently lives in Manhattan with his partner, Elliot. He has two adult children, an adult stepdaughter, and several grandchildren.
